Alex Mann, Associate Director R& D operations at hVIVO, will be making a poster presentation at the AAAAI in Los Angeles, California in March 2016.

This is one of the premier and largest events in the allergy/immunology global event calendar and 2016 is themed “Allergic and Immunologic Diseases: Prevention or Disease Modification”. Thousands of allergist/immunologists, allied health and related healthcare professionals will converge for this comprehensive event with hundreds of educational offerings on a variety of topics including: allergic disease; asthma; immunotherapy; food allergy and GI disease; skin disease; PIDD; practice management; new technologies; and health care reform.

The Poster (number 354) abstract’s title is “Viral Induced Disease in Mild Atopic Asthmatics: Dynamics of Pulmonary Function, Speed of Symptom Onset and Implications for Drug Intervention in HRV Inoculated Volunteers” and will be part of the Asthma Infection, Biomarkers and Inflammation poster session on Sunday 6 March.

Alex Mann commented: ““hVIVO has successfully concluded its first ever asthma study seeking to develop a safe, reproducible and clinically relevant asthma human challenge model. This was a self-sponsored study providing the first commercially available viral challenge model for the study of asthma and antiviral therapies in asthmatic volunteers. The model also produced the first samples obtained from subjects during the course of an asthma exacerbation using its hVIVO platform so this is pioneering work to help address an area with high unmet medical need. My poster presentation will provide some keen insight into this study.”

Accompanying Alex Mann at the event will be Jim Naumann, hVIVO Business Development Director for the West Coast USA, and if you would like to make contact with either Alex or Jim before or during the event, please use the enquiry form below.
