FLU 2016, 31 Oct – 2 Nov 2016, DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, San Francisco, USA
Dr Anthony Gilbert, hVIVO’s Medical Director, will be making an oral presentation at FLU 2016, the second in the annual series with the theme “Scientific Milestones in Understanding and Preventing Flu”. The event is expected to attract over 300 delegates from the scientific and medical community and will run from 31st October – 2nd November 2016 in San Francisco, USA.
As well as being an organising committee member for Flu 2016, Dr Gilbert will present on Day 1, Monday 31st October. Dr Gilbert’s presentation is entitled: “The Human Viral Challenge Model – Accelerating Drug and Vaccine Development”.
Commenting on this autumn’s FLU 2016 event, Dr Gilbert said “I am delighted to help organise and speak at Flu 2016 in San Francisco. hVIVO has pioneered the use of the human challenge study for over 15 years. By monitoring the entire influenza life cycle in subjects in our unique, state-of-the-art quarantine facility, hVIVO can obtain high quality, longitudinal data from the before, during and after stages of the disease. I will share with the audience how this provides faster and more accurate insights that allow for the more rapid development of effective novel drugs and vaccines.”
