World Vaccine Congress US 2016, 29 – 31 March, The Grand Hyatt, Washington D.C., USA

Vaccines play a vital role in the control of infectious diseases such as flu and RSV. hVIVO is proud to once again be a Gold Sponsor of the World Vaccine Congress US, a significant USA vaccine event.

Dr Nicolas Noulin, Principal Virologist at hVIVO, will be presenting on Wednesday 30 March with the title of his presentation: “The gold standard for human challenge studies in respiratory vaccines.” Nicolas will provide the audience with insight into a superior alternative to early stage, field-based trials, enabling respiratory vaccine development to accelerate, as well as indicating how to reduce the cost of bringing anti-viral drugs, diagnostics and vaccines to market.

At the World Vaccine Congress Washington in March 2015 more than 150 elite speakers and 500 specialists were in attendance, including big pharma, biotech, academics and government bodies. The 2016 event, with 7 different conference streams at visitors’ disposal, is looking to be an even greater success, with a highly constructive programme of presentations and exhibits to further investigate and understand new developments in vaccine and other therapeutic developments. Amongst the conference themes, hVIVO will present in the “Influenza & Respiratory” stream.

Commenting on the imminent event Dr Noulin said: “WVC US is always an excellent event bringing together a fantastically knowledgeable and progressive audience rich with insights and commitment to develop new effective vaccines. My presentation will not only indicate the power of the human challenge model to speed early stage research and reduce costs, but how it permits the development of new diagnostics and companion biomarkers.”

Accompanying Dr Noulin at the event will be Rich Niemi, Jim Naumann and Melissa Wagner from our Business Development team. hVIVO will have a display stand in the exhibit area adjacent to the conference facilities on stand number 1.
