EDUFLUVAC workshop on experimental animal models for universal influenza vaccines, 23-24 June 2016, Biomedical Primate Research Centre, Rijswijk, The Netherlands

Dr Nicolas Noulin, Principal Virologist at hVIVO, will be contributing to the lively debates and discussions taking place at the EDUFLUVAC workshop in Rijswijk, Netherlands, 23 – 24 June 2016. Dr Noulin is attending now instead of the originally scheduled attendance by Dr Rob Lambkin-Williams.

This second EDUFLUVAC workshop, an integrated part of the project programme, on the development of a broadly reactive influenza vaccine, will focus on experimental animal models for universal vaccines. The workshop will bring together experts from both academia and industry working on the development of influenza vaccines as well as representatives of regulatory authorities, to discuss which of the currently used animal models are applicable for preclinical assessment of the new generation universal influenza vaccines.

Commenting on the June EDUFLUVAC workshop, Dr Nicolas Noulin said: “Myself and my colleague Dr Rob Lambkin-Williams have always had a keen interest in contributing to this workshop. As well as looking forward to learning more from others in this forum, I am giving a presentation on how to bridge between animal models and human challenge models – an area where hVIVO have a wealth and breadth of practical clinical research experience having conducted over 44 human challenge studies involving over 2,100 volunteers to date.”
