Retroscreen are attending the IABS workshop “”Human Challenge Trials in Vaccine Development: Scientific and Regulatory Issues” in Strasbourg between Monday 29 Sept and Wednesday 1 October.
Working on the IABS Workshop Scientific Committee, and chairing and presenting during the event, Dr Rob Lambkin-Williams commented: “We are delighted to have contributed to the program for this meeting and that I and my colleague at Retroscreen, Dr Bryan Murray, will be presenting data from our own depth of experience in human challenge research studies. This is an exciting meeting and we are pleased to talk about our experiences using our pioneering hVIVO platform to understand more about human disease, and help to accelerate drug and vaccine development.”
This IABS workshop will bring together representatives from academia, industry, regulatory and public health agencies to discuss the scientific, ethical, and regulatory framework required for safe and ethical conduct of challenge trials. In addition the workshop is expected to provide guidance on the best use of challenge trials the definition of potential correlates of protection and for preliminary efficacy evaluation of investigational vaccines.
